Website: http://www.locnesbeats.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/locnesbeats SoundClound: http://soundcloud.com/locnesbeats I was feeling in a “hardware mood”…
Something a little less standard in the akai mpc 1000 recording community. Enjoy.

@dasayheykid Thanks for the positive feedback. It’s appreciated 🙂
Interesting insight. I never thought of that myself but it works for me.
Thanks for the love.
I’ve been coming back to this beat every few days for the last few
months… Locnes you are dope. If you have new stuff I would love to here
it. Let a brotha know!
Epic dude man I miss my ea1 tribe so mine at the pawn shop the other day I
gotta buy it back I just upgraded from the 500 to the mpc 1000 sweet tunez
@esseng905 Glad you like!
This is dope my dude.
Glad you like. Yeah the Korg Electribes are dope. Not used so much for hip
hop style production but there’s so much that you can do with them. Have
fun with your 1000. Those things are sweet!
Sick
@jackthesedays Glad to hear that you’re digging’ the tune.
dude u are so good I love this lilted old school style – sooo goood
@arkyve31 Thanks for the comment. Appreciated
good mix between the two machines, feeling this for sure
This beat is SICK!
@headbangerboy123 The eerie pad sound that plays in the background comes
from the iPhone. In this setup it’s used basically as another sound source.
Hope that answers your question.
This is crazy, its Gotta dark slum village feel to it..I can here baatin on
this going in
@sheft3000 Lol … You’re right, Lego chefs are awesome
@bspbeats You’re right, the Lego people helped … lol Glad you liked the
beat.
Nice but how do you use your iphone with all of that
Wow, thanks dude. I’m glad you like the beat. To be honest time has been an
issue in regards to putting up new material. I have too many personal
projects. I haven’t abandoned the beat blog completely though. It might
just take a different form in the near future. Thanks for staying tuned.
Peace.
Thanks. Glad you dug the tune.
@jackthesedays Thanks, I still plan to do a few more MPC 1000 videos in the
future.
hey….the beat is awesome! ….but you got help….from the small
lego-people!
@tylawtheboss Thanks man 🙂
This is the Butter!!! I love all the lego chef’s.
dude or your some one like me who enjoys just demo quality music because
theres a certain warmness that comes from it instead of digital
first video where you can take a look at how the screen works in the rest
it is blurry
what version of jjos are you using im runnin jjos 5.41 .. awsome video ,, i
think you were the first to touch base on this
really nice. using acoustic instruments, and getting together both of 2
worlds, sampling and composing. Really nice!!! 5* Peace
I’m still running 4.99 I’m waiting for OS2 to get the bugs worked out of it
before i jump ship.
awsome m8 I don’t even know wot these things are but i want one!! nice tune
kinda college rock lol
awesome!
Is that the free jj os. And the digital inputs on the back can you connect
an ipod to it to record in digital.
i dont own an mpc, but based on experience , my guess is that you have to
transfer your mix to a computer and turn it into a wav. or an mp3. midi
does not have anyhting much to do wiht that. midi on the mpc is used to
connect to other machines to control them or trigger stuff. also u can use
midi to control your mpc from a keyboard.
Oh my gosh, your videos are amazing. This is exactly what I needed the MPC
for and you portray its uses perfectly
I enjoy watching your demos and getting ideas from you. Thanks!
I like this demo. First of all, where did u get the handclaps sample? It
sounds like real claps. Nice track, I like it. Camera is nice too…really
sharp video quality. Keep up the good work.
@subtracktion I got that shirt at a good will in Pittsburgh when I was in
town for a conference.
people need to know that the mpc has more uses then sampling vinyl and
adding a kick and snare and looping it a billion times. (not saying i dont
like that. i plan on doing some of that myself) good job man! have you used
any other mpc’s?
Hi folks. I tried recording the MAIN out into an audio track, but all it
records is the click sound. Any ideas why?
now this is unorthodox buat cool
You could even clap your hands
@theANT47 No i sample the guitar in mono, not stereo.
@zulusounds You could, but with out the foot switch it might not be very
fluid, and you’d have to use JJ OS for live track mode.
I use 4 hand claps stereo mixed. The samples came from my Fostex FR-2LE
field sampler
I buy some sample packs, and sample out of my own drums and drums that i’ve
recorded over the years, I don’t do much remix stuff but allot of people
like to use old records and so on.
man..its great to see all the shots of you using it with screens and
such…awesome.
hey could you let me know the best place to get my sample drum sounds.
finally man somone like me thats exactly how i do my stuff to bro… just
rough at first to demo and then when i get the chance recreate it BETTER!
sick..check my beeats out bro…fun to see people doin max potential on the
machine
